Academic Support System
In order to achieve the goals of advance learners the school provides several facilities in supporting students’ activities, which the facilities of USHS for the students are matched with students’ soft skill and hard skill. Those supporting facilities are science laboratory, computer laboratory, library, canteen, faculty room, register room, AVR room, etc. by providing the students those facilities the students are expected to develop their skills and also their special ability into maximum potential, so there the teacher are not only explain the material to the students but also guiding them to develop their own potential. The USHS also provides a place called Tambayan, the function of this place is to provide a place for the students to study near with environment. Also there is a building for the students to conduct a physical education, that place is named Umali Gymnasium, the location of this building is outside of the school area but still inside of the Campus.
The university Science High School also support students’ academic by providing extracurriculars based on the students’ interest. The extracurricular are as follows:
a. Philatelists Club that leads by Asst. Prof. Emily A. Concepcion and it has 11 members
b. Debate Society that leads by Asst. Prof. Cynthia Lyn P. Curada with 12 members of the students
c. SMFILMEKK or Samahan ng mga Mag- aaral sa Filipino, Musika, Ekonomika, Kultura at kasayangan that leads by Mr. Mark Christian V. De Jesus and it has 12 members
d. MEC or Math Enthusiasts’ Circle that leads by Ms. Joanne S. Dizon. This club has the members division which are Elite members and Regular members. The elite members which include of grade 9 and 10 with total of the members are 38. Meanwhile, the regular members are involving the grade 8 until the grade 10 and the total members are 58 students.
e. SSC or Seekers’ Science Club that leads by Assoc. Prof. Evelyn M. Ben and it has 20 members.
